On Oct. 14, OH UNC PROP and OH BANK reminded businesses to submit annual report.

  • OH UNC PROP and OH BANK urged Ohio business owners to submit their annual unclaimed funds reports ahead of Nov. 1, 2026.
  • Reporting Obligations
  • All businesses operating in Ohio or holding funds owned to residents must report.
  • Dormant checking, savings accounts, uncashed cashier's checks, stocks and bonds fall within scope.
  • Businesses with no unclaimed funds must still submit a negative (NONE) report.
  • Filling and Compliance
  • All unclaimed funds reports must be filed electronically; paper submissions are no longer accepted.
  • The Division offers a Voluntary Compliance Agreement for companies that missed reporting unclaimed property in previous cycles.
  • Effectiveness
  • Reports are due Nov. 1, 2026 for accounts dormant as of June 30, 2026.
