FIN GVT issued parliament's response to government's proposal to for an act amending Chapter 1, section 11 and Chapter 46 of the Criminal Code and related acts.
Government approved the proposal in plenary session on Apr. 24, 2025.
Proposal
Act amending Chapter 1, Section 11 and Chapter 46 of the Criminal Code, Act amending Chapter 10, Section 3 Coercive Measures Act, the Act amending Section 2 of the Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Violations of EU and National Law,
And the Act amending Section 4, Act on the Performance of Certain Obligations of Finland as a Member of the United Nations and the European Union.
Effectiveness
Provision for entry into force of the acts on May 20, 2025.
