On May 9, CYP SEC updated on electronic submission of data for 2024.
CYP SEC issued Circular E706 CIF for RBS-F electronic submission of data for 2024.
Follows CYP SEC Apr. 2024 cir C634 re RBS-F 2023 data e-submission see #168894.
Overview
RBS-F data will be collected via updated, more comprehensive version of RBSF-CIF.
Information collected via new version is significantly reduced compared to previous.
Reason is that a lot of information used to be collected in older version integrated and now collected via updated version of Form QST-CIF.
New version of RBSF-CIF, Version 10, issued on annual basis, is found in Appendix.
Its scope is collection of statistical information; data collected via it refers to reporting period Jan.1 -Dec. 31, 2024 and reference date is Dec. 31, 2024, as relevant.
CYP SEC will use this information, for statistical analyses, risk management and other.
To be completed and successfully submitted by all CIFs authorized by Dec. 31, 2024.
CIFs authorized by Dec. 31, 2024 that made no use of authorisation must also submit.
Form must be successfully submitted electronically via TRS by Jun. 13, 2025, as late.
Steps CIFs must follow for successful submission of form to TRS available online.
Upon submission, the CIFs are responsible to ensure that they receive a feedback file.
I.e. official submission confirmation dispatched by the TRS in the Outgoing directory.
If error, correction and resubmission (details); form successfully submitted only when a NO ERROR indication feedback file is received within deadlines set above.
The feedback file is dispatched only during CYP SEC regular hours.
Important to meet deadline of Jun. 13, 2025 as failure to promptly and duly comply may bear administrative penalties of section 37(5) of CYP SEC Law.
It will not send any reminders to those CIFs that fail to promptly and duly comply.
Effectiveness
Form must be duly submitted by Jun. 13, 2025, at the latest; queries on completion of RBSF-CIF, only in writing by email to address provided, any day before Jun. 6, 2025.
