FEMA reported White House approved a major disaster declaration for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe to support recovery from storms and flooding on Aug. 8 - 10, 2024.
On the same day, White House approved disaster declaration for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and ordered federal aid to supplement tribal nation’s recovery efforts.
Eligibility
Public assistance federal funding available to Tribal Nation, certain nonprofits on cost-sharing basis for emergency work and repairs or replacement of damaged facilities.
Federal funding also available on cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures.
Sep. 2024 SBA Disaster Loans
On Sep. 23, 2024, SBA reported certain nonprofits that do not provide critical services of a governmental nature may be eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans.
Loans are available following the Presidential disaster declaration for Public Assistance.
PNP organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.
May be eligible for loan increase of up to 20% of physical damages for mitigation.
Filing deadline for physical damage is Nov. 19, 2024; EIDLs due by Jun. 20, 2025.
