  • On the same day, White House approved disaster declaration for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and ordered federal aid to supplement tribal nation’s recovery efforts.

  • Public assistance federal funding available to Tribal Nation, certain nonprofits on cost-sharing basis for emergency work and repairs or replacement of damaged facilities.
  • Federal funding also available on cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures.

  • On Sep. 23, 2024, SBA reported certain nonprofits that do not provide critical services of a governmental nature may be eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans.
  • Loans are available following the Presidential disaster declaration for Public Assistance.
  • PNP organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.
  • May be eligible for loan increase of up to 20% of physical damages for mitigation.
  • Filing deadline for physical damage is Nov. 19, 2024; EIDLs due by Jun. 20, 2025.
