Follows LUX CB May 2018 advised non-regulated AIFs on statistical reports, #43844.
Context
ECB adopted Reg 2024/1988 re statistics on investment funds repealing Dec 2015/32 (ECB/2014/62) (ECB/2024/17) as well as Reg 2021/379 on balance sheet items of credit institutions and of monetary financial institutions sector (ECB/2021/2).
Recalled the current data collection system was set up with objective of limiting overall reporting workload for Luxembourg-domiciled investment funds.
LUX CSSF-LUX CB cooperate fully, use, if possible, entire data collected for statistical, prudential purposes to ensure prudential supervision, statistical data compilation.
On basis of cited ECB regulations, LUX CB, in agreement with LUX CSSF, modified the data collection system for money market funds (MMF) and non-MMF investment funds.

Circular covers main changes; LUX CB redefined data collection system to complete coverage of ECB foreseeable requirements in field of monetary and financial statistics.
Minimize burden for reporting agents; cover needs of financial stability and prudential supervision and achieve consistency with data collected for supervisory purposes.
Compared to current statistical data collection, modifications consist of new versions of current reports as well as new reports e.g. monthly balance sheet, quarterly balance sheet, SBS reporting, annual reporting, etc; more details on each type are provided.
Further, changes to LUX CSSF reports are made in U1.1 reporting and, reports 04.1, 04.2 and K3.1 will be discontinued as from Dec. 1, 2025.

Recalled LUX CB establishes and publishes on its website calendar of remittance dates at which monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports must be submitted.
LUX CB must send to ECB monthly statistics for MMFs within 15 working days, monthly and quarterly statistics for non-MMF investment funds within 28 working days from end of period to which data refer to, annual by close of business on Jun. 30, of each year.
Thus, it is imperative reporting agents strictly comply with reporting deadlines set out in circular for LUX CB to fulfil its obligations within the ESCB.
Repeals
BCL 2014/237 CSSF 14/588, Cir IML 97/136, Cir CSSF 07/310, as amended by Cir CSSF 08/348 and Cir CSSF 08/376 repealed from Dec. 1, 2025.
Effectiveness
Different dates apply depending on type of report, e.g. Jan. 15, 2026, Apr. 8, 2026.
