On Oct. 28, 2025, ITA INS informed of rules on supervisory contribution for the year 2025 to be paid by companies and intermediaries.
Minister of Economy and Finance, upon proposal of ITA INS, has set, by Decree 230/2025 and Decree 242/2025, amounts of supervisory contribution for current year, payable respectively by insurance and reinsurance intermediaries and by Italian and foreign insurance and reinsurance undertakings.
Contribution paid exclusively through PagoPA system, following procedures indicated on ITA INS website; deadline for payment is Nov. 27, 2025.
Foreign companies and intermediaries who cannot use PagoPA smay pay contribution by bank transfer, using bank details of Unimatica, company responsible for collecting ITA INS contributions, which are the same as last year.
On Dec. 6, ITA INS set rate to calculate the supervisory contribution.
ITA INS issued Provision 153 setting rate of management costs to be deducted from premiums collected in 2025 for purposes of calculating the supervisory contribution.

Overview
To determine supervisory contribution on insurance, reinsurance activity in art 335, para 2 DLgs 209/2005, for 2025 financial year the rate for management costs to be deducted from premiums collected is set at 4.50% of the premiums.
