  • SC LEG published EO 2024-17 of Aug. 18, 2024 which declares a state of emergency for river flooding and other additional impacts associated with Tropical Storm Debby.
  • Follows SC LEG EO 2024-16 of Aug. 4, 2024 concerning Storm Debby, see #221977.

  • Preparations be taken at the individual, local, and state levels to prepare for and respond to the aforementioned river flooding and other ongoing and additional threats.
  • All licensing and registration requirements regarding private security companies contracting with SC security companies in restoring essential services are suspended.
  • Suspends provisions of regulation procedures for conduct of state business if strict compliance with provision would prevent, hinder, delay action in addressing emergency
  • Effectiveness
  • Declaration is effective immediately and to remain in effect for 15 days, Oct. 12, 2024.
