The bill makes amendments to NJ LEG 34:11-56.32, Posting of prevailing wage rates.
Bill Provisions
Requires a mandatory orientation meeting for each employee on the employee’s first day of a project that explains the employee’s wages under the Prevailing Wage Act.
An employer may satisfy this requirement by conducting one orientation meeting to a group of employees if the employees commence employment on the same day.
Upon completion employee shall sign a form stating they have received orientation.
Contractor or subcontractor conducting the orientation shall retain completed forms for at least five years and shall make each completed form available upon request.
