SBA FLA Disaster Non-Profit Loans


On Aug. 30, SBA reported loans available in FLA for private non-profits


  • SBA low-interest disaster loans available in FLA for private non-profits (PNP) that do not provide critical services of a governmental nature, as a result of Hurricane Debby.
  • Follows White House Aug. 2024 approved FLA emergency declaration, see #221957.
  • Eligibility
  • PNP may apply for low-interest disaster loans in the counties of Baker, Charlotte, Columbia, Dixie, and Gilchrist, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, and Levy.
  • Also Madison, Manatee, Sarasota, Suwannee, Taylor, Union and Wakulla counties.
  • Eligible non-critical PNP organizations include, but are not limited to, food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers, schools, and colleges.
  • PNP organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.
  • Applicants may be also eligible for a loan amount increase for mitigation purposes.
  • Also offers economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) to meet working capital needs, and is available regardless of whether the organization suffered physical property damage.
  • PNP should contact their county’s emergency manager to provide organizational data.
  • The data will be sent to FEMA in order to determine eligibility for a Public Assistance grant or whether the PNP should be referred to SBA for disaster loan assistance.
  • Application Deadlines
  • Completed applications for physical property damage must be submitted by Oct. 28, 2024 and the deadline to submit completed applications for EIDLs is May 28, 2025.
