LTH PRL published law XIV-2906 of Jul. 11, 2024 amending articles 1, 2, 13 and 18 of the Law IX-1132 of Oct. 10, 2002 on entities important to ensure national security.
Main Points
The law determines entities and assets that are important for ensuring national security, including companies, facilities, assets, economic sectors (protection zones).
Protection of transactions of essential cybersecurity entities from all possible threats.
Amendments to the definitions of the controlling person and the cybersecurity entity.
Changes to art 13 procedures re transaction screening for national security interests.
LTH GVT/an authorized body can set up the requirements for the protection of entities' physical and operational activities if this is not regulated by the Cybersecurity Law.
Effectiveness
The law enters into force on Oct. 18, 2024.
