On Jun. 28, SBA made disaster aid available to TX small businesses.
SBA reported that Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available to Texas small businesses due to the drought that began on Apr. 23, 2024 in several Texas counties.
Eligibility
Aid is available in primary counties of Crockett, Dimmit, Pecos and Terrell.
Also in neighboring Brewster, Crane, Frio, Irion, Jeff Davis, La Salle, Maverick, Reagan, Reeves, Schleicher, Sutton, Upton, Val Verde, Ward, Webb and Zavala counties.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs of up to $2 million.
EIDLs are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the impacted entity had the disaster not occurred.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for economic injury is Feb. 24, 2025.
