SBA Texas Disaster Loans Available

On Jun. 28, SBA made disaster aid available to TX small businesses.

  • SBA reported that Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available to Texas small businesses due to the drought that began on Apr. 23, 2024 in several Texas counties.
  • Eligibility
  • Aid is available in primary counties of Crockett, Dimmit, Pecos and Terrell.
  • Also in neighboring Brewster, Crane, Frio, Irion, Jeff Davis, La Salle, Maverick, Reagan, Reeves, Schleicher, Sutton, Upton, Val Verde, Ward, Webb and Zavala counties.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs of up to $2 million.
  • EIDLs are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the impacted entity had the disaster not occurred.
  • Application Deadline
  • The deadline to apply for economic injury is Feb. 24, 2025.
