Changes
FINRA will re-platform the TRACE corporate/agency product to a Linux-based operating system, and introduce new protocol to data feeds, ATDS, BTDS, and BTDS-144A.
Also updated the IP address configurations and the MOLD/UDP 64 specifications.
New ports, multicast addresses for data feeds will be employed when MOLD/UDP 64 is introduced, TRACE data feed clients should process data from Primary A and B groups.
FINRA has disaster recovery groups in the event of catastrophic failure at data centers.
FINRA will offer a testing period for these changes and will issue a separate notice.
Effectiveness
All TRACE data feed clients must accommodate data feed changes by Sep. 9, 2024.
Aug. 2024 FINRA Data Feeds Nightly Replay
On Aug. 2, 2024, FINRA issued technical notice regarding new protocol, feed changes.
Beginning Aug. 5, 2024, ATDS, BTDS, and BTDS-144A nightly test file replay will be disseminated; recipients invited to process replay via new weeknight test addresses.
Nightly test file is planned to be available from 9:30 – 10:30 p.m. ET each weekday.
Contents will be static and only change periodically until Sep. 9, 2024 production date.
