SBA made available Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Colorado small businesses impacted by economic losses due to drought beginning Nov. 1, 2023.
Eligibility
Primary COL counties: Alamosa, Archuleta, Conejos, Costilla, Hinsdale, Huerfano, La Plata, Mineral, Montezuma, Rio Grande, Saguache; neighboring Chaffee, Custer.
Also Dolores, Fremont, Gunnison, Las Animas, Ouray, Pueblo and San Juan.
Neighboring AZ county Apache; NM Colfax, Rio Arriba, San Juan, Taos; UTA San Juan.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs up to $2 million.
Loans are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the applicant had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility based on the financial impact of disaster only, not on actual damage.
Deadline
Deadline for EIDL loan applications to be submitted to SBA is Nov. 25, 2024.
