SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Kansas small businesses impacted by reduced revenue cause by drought beginning on Nov. 15, 2024.
In addition, Marion, Morris, Nemaha, Neosho, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rawlins, Scott, Sedgwick, Thomas, Wabaunsee and Woodson; NEB Franklin, Furnas, Gage, Harlan.
Additionally, neighboring Jefferson, Nuckolls, Pawnee, Red Willow, Thayer, Webster counties; OKLA neighboring counties Nowata, Osage and Washington.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs up to $2 million.
These loans are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the applicant had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility for loans is based on financial impact of disaster only, not on actual damages.
Deadlines
The deadline to apply for EIDLs by submitting application to SBA is Nov. 25, 2024.
