On Sep. 11, 2025, BRZ CB reported procedures for BC Protege +.
BRZ CB issued Instruction 661, procedures for communication system, restricting contracting in National Financial System (SRC), as established by Resolution No. 475.
Follows May 26, 2025, BRZ CB on launch of new services via Res 475, see #256136.

Restrictions in SRC
It mandates that institutions must consult BC Protege + before opening or modifying current, savings, or prepaid accounts when adding account holders or representatives.
For legal entities, institutions verify National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ) number and the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) numbers of all holders and representatives.
Access to the system is provided via National Financial System Network (RSFN), or the File Transfer System (STA) with responses indicating whether contracting is permitted.
In addition, institutions must retain structured evidence of each query and response, designate responsible personnel, and ensure secure handling of personal data.
Also, communication must comply with RSFN technical standards, and BC Protege + will be available 24/7, except during scheduled or emergency maintenance periods.
Effectiveness
This Instruction enters into force on Dec. 1, 2025.
