Country-By-Country Reporting
Department for International Tax Cooperation (DITC) advise industry that functions related to country-by-country reporting framework are available on the DITC's portal.
All multinational enterprises groups with Cayman Islands constituent entities (CEs) must re-register with the Tax Information Authority (TIA) to ensure compliance.
Every entity that is resident in the Islands must determine whether or not it is a CE of an MNE Group for the purposes of the Country-by-country reporting regulations.
The reporting entity is generally the ultimate parent entity (UPE) of an MNE group, but, in certain exceptional cases, may instead be surrogate parent entity (SPE).
UPE of a group must identify all subsidiaries in order to prepare consolidated financial statements and if meets criteria US$850 million for last fiscal year to be MNE group.
Most jurisdictions participating in country-by-country reporting require resident reporting entities to complete notification and reporting obligations by December 31.

DITC expects to add country-by-country reporting reporting functionality to the DITC portal, and to update the DITC portal user guide accordingly, by November 2025.
Re-registration Deadline
