AST AUSTRAC said it is upgrading its online systems with multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security, user experience; rolling out between Jul. and Nov. 2025.

AST AUSTRAC said the upgrade comes after Jun. 2025 invitation to participate in pilot.
The pilot is a part of AST AUSTRAC's co-design approach to ensure that the security priorities and experiences of reporting entities directly shape enhancements AST AUSTRAC makes to its systems and channels.

On Oct. 2, 2025, AST AUSTRAC said it will launch a new online platform in Nov. 2025 with improved security, usability, and self-service features.
Platform was co-designed with users to enhance efficiency, compliance management; multi-factor authentication and stronger passwords will be introduced before launch.
AST AUSTRAC will provide training and Q&A sessions to support users; ongoing research continues to refine and simplify digital services across sectors.
