TUR CSD stated that its annual emergency drill has been planned as a joint drill of Borsa Istanbul Group, as in the previous year, and will be carried out on Jun. 28, 2025.
Summary
Organizations are required to have primary and secondary systems within country and the location of the secondary system is selected in a way that it will not be exposed to the same risks as the primary system against natural and environmental disasters.
Members to participate in emergency drill carried out by Borsa Istanbul Group from secondary systems outside of Istanbul not expected to be affected by earthquake and, if no backup system outside Istanbul must participate from existing primary systems.
The emergency exercise comprises connection test and application exercise.
Letter provides explanations regarding the procedures to be carried out in drill.
The emergency drill environment connection information is included in the Appendix.
Members who will participate in the drill are to check whether they can connect to TUR CSD's ODVM connection address in Ankara on on Jun. 24-25, 2025.
Connection test start and end times will be announced separately on the relevant date.
Application drill to be held on Jun. 28, 2025 covers all Central Registry System (CRS) applications and will be carried out with members who have requested to participate.
Participating users are required to fill out the sections in the participation survey, which they will access through the link that will be sent to members' registered contact authorities via e-mail, by the end of business hours on Jun. 25, 2025 at the latest.
As there is risk that members' offices and data centers in Istanbul may become unserviceable after an Istanbul earthquake, members are expected to take part in drill, especially from offices outside Istanbul that are unlikely to be affected by earthquake.
