BRZ CB launched new services for citizens via Resolution 475 and other changes.
The new service aims to prevent opening of fraudulent accounts, with false identities, or inclusion of new holder in joint accounts or new parties in legal entity accounts.
The new service established by Resolution 475 of 2025 will allow citizens to optionally inform entire National Financial System, via new system to be offered in logged-in area of My CB site, they do not wish to open new accounts (current, savings or payment).
The system will allow citizens to revert their information, for indefinite period or not, at their own discretion, at any time, will show the activations and deactivations made.
Also queries made by financial institutions about possibility of opening new accounts.
Financial institutions must, once the new system goes into production, consult the database before completing the process of opening new accounts or related actions.
To this end, Resolution 5,218 amends regs in force on opening, maintenance, closing of accounts by banks, Resolution 476 updates laws applicable to payment accounts.
6 months for BRZ CB, institutions to develop systems necessary for service operation.
Within same period, if necessary, institutions may review their processes, procedures.
Automatic Request in Values Receivable System (SVR)
BRZ CB announced new feature in SVR as from May 27 it will be possible to enable the automatic request for values redemption, only new feature is way to request ransom.
Previously, it was necessary to carry out manual procedure for each ransom request.
Now, anyone who wants to can automate requests; all other features remain same.
Purpose is to make life even easier for citizens, who will not need to consult system periodically/manually register request for each amount in their name; sign up optional.
To enable must access SVR with silver/gold account, two-step verification activated.
Automatic request is exclusive to individuals, only available to those with CPF Pix key.
Those who do not yet have this key must register it with their financial institution.
The citizen will not receive any notice from BRZ CB when any amount is returned, and credit will be made directly by the financial institution to the citizen's account.
The financial institutions that have not adhered to the Pix refund term will continue to require manual requests; this also applies to amounts originating from joint accounts.
Effectiveness
The abovementioned Resolution 475 will come into force on Dec. 1, 2025.
