Overview
Recalls per importance of private healthcare spending in Italy and role of health funds, in 2019 ITA INS launched a survey on collective agreements in the health branch.
Distinguishes those signed by health funds or similar entities from those signed by organizations of a different nature; survey confirmed for current financial year.
Companies, with registered office in Italy, that collected at least 10 million in direct premiums in health branch accounted for in 2024 financial year must participate.
For collective policies signed in health branch, information re 2024 financial year to be reported: premiums accounted for; charges relating to claims; development by generation of claims paid and reserves at end of financial year; number of risk units.
Supervised companies send ITA INS forms for each non-life branch in which they operate, pursuant to Regulation 22/2008.
Information must be provided separately for 2 groups: health funds (supplementary funds pursuant to art 9 DLgs 502/1992) and entities, funds and mutual aid societies; other bodies of a different nature from the previous ones.
The data must be entered in EXCEL folder, according to structure attached to this letter and sent to the email address provided.
For this year's edition, it is requested to also communicate, in email, data on gross premiums accounted for Long Term Care (LTC) coverages possibly included in collective contracts signed in health branch.

Effectiveness
The above-mentioned data must be transmitted by Jun. 27, 2025.
