Incorporate latest amendments made by the public governance, performance and accountability amendment (office of the special investigator) rules 2021, 1791/2021.
Purpose
Rule established requirements, procedures to give effect to governance, performance, accountability matters in Public governance, performance and accountability act 2013.
The act established rules for financial management, as well as for the broader governance, performance and accountability for the Commonwealth public sector.
The PGPA act established uniform duties for officials of Commonwealth entities.
The amendments made by 1791/2021 repeal Schedule 1 subparagraph 18(1)(iv).
Effectiveness
Compiled version of the rule is in force from Dec. 17, 2021; rule sunsets Oct. 1, 2024.
Jan. 19, 2022 Section 75 Transfers
On Jan. 19, 2022, AST GVT registered legislative instrument Public governance, performance and accountability (section 75 transfers) determination 2021-2022.
Section 75 of Public governance, performance and accountability act 2013 enables the finance minister to determine schedules to appropriation acts are modified in specified way in relation to function transfers between non-corporate Commonwealth entities.
Instrument gives effect to section 75 power, recognizes the executive government can reorganize function administration/delivery, transferring resources between entities.
The instrument commences on the day after registration, i.e. Jan. 20, 2022.
