AST GVT issued civil dispute resolution amendment regulations 2021 to amend the sunsetting provisions of the civil dispute resolution regulations 2021 to Oct. 1, 2024.
Explanation
The Civil dispute resolution regulations 2021 addressed the sunsetting of civil dispute resolution regulations 2011 on Oct. 1, 2021, and remade those regs in the same form.
The purpose of the Regs is to ensure 3 types of proceedings in the Federal Court and FCFC (Division 2) are excluded from operation of the civil dispute resolution act 2011.
The excluded proceedings are: proceedings for a sequestration order under bankruptcy act 1966 S 43, if the act of bankruptcy relied on arose under para 40(1)(g) of that Act.
Proceedings for an order under section 459A of the corporations act 2001 to wind up a company in insolvency, if the application for the order relies on a failure by the company to comply with a statutory demand (within the meaning of that Act).
Proceedings for review of a decision of a Registrar of an eligible court.
Sunsetting Amendment
Sunset date amended to be three years after the commencement of the Regulations.

Civil dispute resolution regulations 2021 sunset on Oct. 1, 2024.
