Tariff Exclusion Extension
US had promised to cancel some tariffs on products, and increase tariff exemption.
Said exemptions are extended until Dec. 31, 2023; previously set to expire Sep. 30.
The extension will allow for further consideration under the statutory four-year review.
Effectiveness
The next expiration date of the tariff exclusions is Dec. 31, 2023.
Dec. 2023 USTR Extension of Exclusions
On Dec. 26, 2023, USTR extended exclusion from Section 301 tariffs to May 31, 2024.
Also reported opening of docket for comments on existing exclusions on Jan. 22, 2024.
Comments on existing exclusions must be submitted to USTR portal by Feb. 21, 2024.

On May 24, 2024, USTR extended exclusions in Section 301 tariffs to May 31, 2025.
To allow for transition, also extended all currently expiring exclusions to Jun. 14, 2024.
